Big Heat Sink & Heat Sink Assembly Solutions: Large Aluminum Extruded + Plate Design for High-Power Cooling
For high-power electronics, industrial control systems, and energy equipment, a single-piece heat sink often cannot provide sufficient thermal performance. This is where a big heat sink assembly becomes essential.
Our custom-designed heat sink assemblies, combining aluminum extruded heat sinks with precision-machined aluminum plates, deliver outstanding heat dissipation, structural stability, and an aesthetically clean appearance.
What Is a Heat Sink Assembly?
A heat sink assembly refers to a cooling structure made by integrating multiple components-commonly an alu extruded fin heat sink and a flat aluminum plate.
This structure allows heat to be absorbed from the plate and transferred efficiently into the finned section, which then dissipates heat into the surrounding air.
Our assemblies can be manufactured in large sizes, including:
* Length: up to 1.5 meters
* Width: around 35 mm
* Thickness and fin height customizable
This makes the solution suitable for long linear heat sources or equipment requiring extended coverage.

How the Large Heat Sink Assembly Works
The design uses a combination of:
Alu extruded fins - providing large surface area
Aluminuim base plate - directly contacting the heat source
Assembly Process
We pre-machine precision mounting holes on both the aluminuim plate and the extruded heat sink.
The two parts are aligned and fixed together by screws.
This creates tight surface contact, minimizing thermal resistance.
Once the heat source contacts the aluminum plate, heat is quickly transferred through the plate into the extruded fins.
The fins greatly increase surface area, enabling efficient convection cooling.
This structure ensures both stability and excellent thermal performance.
Why Use Aluminum Extrusion + Aluminum Plate?
1. Excellent Thermal Conductivity
Aluminum is lightweight yet offers very good thermal conductivity. When the plate absorbs heat from the equipment, it spreads the heat efficiently to the extruded fins.
2. Enhanced Surface Area
The extruded fins provide multiple airflow channels, which help heat dissipate faster under natural convection or forced-air cooling.
3. Strong Mechanical Structure
Using screws to lock the plate and heat sink together:
Ensures tight contact
Reduces thermal resistance
Improves durability and long-term stability
4. Flexible Size Options
Large structures (like 1.5 m length) cannot be made from a single piece using pure extrusion.
Therefore, combining parts through assembly is the ideal and cost-effective solution.
High-Quality Appearance & Clean Design
One key advantage of our heat sink assemblies is the excellent surface finish and professional appearance.
Thanks to high-precision extrusion, CNC machining, deburring, and controlled assembly, the final product is: Smooth, Uniform, Visually appealing, Suitable for exposed installation environments where aesthetics matter. This makes the heat sink not only functional but also attractive.
Applications of Big Heat Sink Assemblies
These large assemblies are commonly used in:
Industrial inverters
Power modules
