The Development of Electric Aircraft
On December 16, 2021, a new aircraft, the Maker, also known as the Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Vehicle (eVTOL), developed by Archer Airlines, was undergoing test flights on a runway outside Salinas, California, USA. After the successful first flight test, the next task for the CEO of Archer Aviation is to lead the Maker aircraft through certification by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of the United States. This process may take several years and cost hundreds of millions of dollars, but it also means preparing for large-scale production, collaborating with municipal authorities, and determining routes and takeoff points. The next step is to prepare ordinary people for new turning points in their lives, where airplanes are no longer an alternative to trains, providing point-to-point scheduled services, and it will become an on call taxi.

Compared to traditional fuel powered aircraft, electric powered aircraft have many advantages:

Due to the advancement of electronic technology and the gradual decrease in prices, the manufacturing cost of electric aircraft has gradually decreased, becoming a more economical choice in the future.
Heat sink of Electric Aircraft
Heat sinks is one of the important components of electric aircraft.
To avoid excessive heat accumulation and prolong the battery life cycle of electric aircraft, reduce battery degradation and operating costs, and ensure safe battery operation, timely heat dissipation treatment is required for the battery.
Heat is transmitted from the heat source through heatsinks or liquid cooling plates, ensuring the normal operating temperature of the battery.
High performance, low weight axial flux motors and controllers are smaller, lighter, and safer than any other competitive electric propulsion technology. This also requires the heatsinks of the motor to be lighter, thinner, and more efficient in heat dissipation.
