Technical principles of Friction Stir Welding
The welding joint is rotating, heating and moving on the surface of the product, high temperature makes the material soften, and the welding seam is weld by joint.

FSW strengths
Soild state welding technology, no filler, with excellent connector performance.
Can be welded aluminum, copper, magnesium and other nonferrous alloys non-ferrous metals.
This method is highly automated.
Very suitable for aluminum or copper liquid cooling plate welding.
FSW in liquid cooling plate
FSW technology is wildly used in high power machine, aviation, telecom, military and etc.
In liquid cooling plate, traditional welding method is brazing, electron beam welding and etc, but this welding method can not do well in both good sealing and good pressure performance, so there are high defect rate. But FSW can do better in good sealing and good pressure performance, so FSW technology is using for liquid cooling plate.

Calculation: In 15mm cold plate, FSW 1mm structure can bear at least 10 MPa pressure.
