
What is cold forging?
Cold forging is a high-precision manufacturing process carried out at room temperature, suitable for softer metals (materials can be aluminum or copper).
This process ensures that there are no bubbles, pores, or other impurities in the material, thus producing high-quality products.
The pins on cold forged heat sink are a component of its substrate - they are simply extruded from the substrate.
There is no air gap or thermal interface between the pins and the base. Heat can easily dissipate from the base to the pins without any additional thermal resistance.
Advantages:
* Highly compact fins can maximize the expansion of heat dissipation surface area.
* The circular pins, holes, and bases formed in the tool during a single operation are integrated with the pins and bases, resulting in less thermal resistance.
* Circular shape which is very suitable for LED cooling.
* Due to the absence of heating during the production process, it is environmentally friendly.
